We strive to hire the brightest professionals and we believe that employing a diverse workforce is central to our growth.
Our HR managers are customer-obsessed, results-oriented, and agile - they play a critical role in managing human resources initiatives that drive innovation and execution in last mile delivery. Our HR generalists within Customer Fulfilment sit directly within one of our approx. 20 sites in Germany, working as part of a larger local HR team to provide support to our several thousands of employees in these sites.

Abi N.Associate Partner | Augsburg (Graben), Germany Abi left Nigeria for Germany in 2008 to study, earned a Master’s in Human Resources, and started job hunting. Her search led her to join Amazon in October 2016 as a Warehouse Associate packing, picking, and sorting. A year later, she noticed the Operations HR department was looking for a temporary admin, and she went for it. After three months, her temporary assignment ended and she went back to working in the warehouse. Then, in 2019, she saw the HR team was looking for a full-time Associate Partner. She applied, got the position, and has been loving this next chapter in her Amazon story. Abi’s favorite part about working for Amazon is having the opportunity to build a career and to be a part of something bigger. She appreciates the company’s commitment to seeking, supporting, and elevating diverse perspectives. |
Tugay O.HR Partner | Pforzheim, Germany Tugay had never heard of Amazon; it was only after learning the company was building a site in Pforzheim that he became interested. He had received an offer from a fast food restaurant to work as a shift supervisor, but he put the offer on hold to consider working at Amazon – he knew a new location would create significant opportunities. He joined in September 2012 and has never regretted his decision. Tugay thinks the culture at Amazon is unique compared to other companies - Amazon values its employees and does everything possible to make them happy, safety is very important, and opportunities for advancement are unlimited. Amazon's culture, in Tugay’s opinion, is characterized by diversity, work/life balance, collaboration, leadership, and strategic alignment. Outside of work, Tugay is an active member of a darts club - two years ago he ranked in the top 20 out of 325 players in the C-League. He is also an active member of the German Red Cross. |
Jakov P.Sr. HR Business Partner | Frankfurt am Main, Germany Jakov's career journey with Amazon started when he was hired as a trainee in March 2016. After earning his Bachelor’s degree in August 2016, he joined the HR Team in Bad Hersfeld full-time. During his first 12 months, he supported the Operations business as an HR Assistant, which involved close collaboration with internal stakeholders and strong leadership skills. In 2017, Jakov took advantage of one of Amazon’s internal development opportunities and stepped up to become an HR Business Partner. The new role gave him opportunities to make high-impact decisions and take responsibility for a team of up to six associates. In June 2020, he was promoted to Senior HR Business Partner and now works mainly on customer support strategy. Outside of work, Jakov enjoys spending time with his family and their dog. He is also a big football fan and enjoys traveling to World Cups to support his parents’ home country of Croatia. |

After onboarding virtually, Lara supported the migration of former PrimeNow and Fresh in Munich and is now responsible for the Ultra Fast Fresh site in Munich and her team supports all UFF and AMXL (heavy and bulky products) across Germany. Ultra Fast Fresh (UFF) delivers food and beverages to customers within two hours. In September 2020, Lara took advantage of one of Amazon's internal development opportunities and participated in the EU Elevator Program. She is now focusing on a strategic vision to best support the DE and EU 3PL business in order to raise the bar on support for its employees. Outside of work, Lara is passionate about athletics and is currently training for a half marathon as a new runner. |
Middle Mile, ATS, & Air
Our Middle Mile business is the link between our fulfilment centres and our delivery stations. As opposed to our fulfilment centres, our HR teams are spread across Germany and our HR Business Partners act as HR leads for one single site, supported by a small, local team of HR and Operations Assistants. Our brand new Air hub in Schkeuditz near Leipzig is the first of its kind in Germany.
Our HR generalists are experts in everything from employee relations to performance management, talent management to succession planning, and employee engagement to legislative compliance. They act as business partners to our site leads and Operations Managers in all areas of the employee cycle.

Jan J.HR Business Partner | Hamburg, Germany Jan was looking for an employer in Hamburg that gives its employees freedom and opportunity to help shape the company. That's exactly what he found at Amazon, and since joining it's become his passion to help make Amazon better every day on behalf of our customers. Jan’s team works to deliver a great employee experience to Amazon associates and managers in the northernmost Logistics stations in Germany through world-class HR support. Their work enables associates and managers to demonstrate best-in-class performance every day, which directly impacts our customers. Not long after he started, Jan realized that onboarding documentation for Operations managers was lacking. He demonstrated a bias for action and, with the help of his colleagues, developed a manual and HR deck for executive onboarding. Putting the new guidelines into practice and receiving positive feedback from managers was very rewarding. Outside of work, Jan enjoys playing handball. |
