Senior Risk Manager, Risk Management and Resilience

To keep our operations network secure and assure operational continuity, we are looking for an experienced professional who wants to join our Risk Management team as Senior Risk Manager. In this key role, you will mitigate risks to our people, operations, and assets across International Region (Asia, Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America)
Key job responsibilities
• Manage complex risk-based projects that impact Amazon life safety, operations, brand
• Identify risks to the business on its physical and human assets and undertake measures to minimize the probability of their occurrence and their attendant impacts
• Manage the lifecycle of initiatives, mitigate long-term risks, and identify paths forward in complex situations
• Seek opportunities to continually improve, streamline, and eliminate excess processes or controls
• Work with key stakeholders to implement corrective action plans to mitigate risks
A day in the life
As a Senior Risk Manager on the Risk Management team, you will join a team of professionals supporting the Security and Loss Prevention team with translating threat identification into risk assessments, risk treatment plans, mitigation strategies, and escalation frameworks. To achieve this goal, you will identify risks to the business and support teams across EMEA to coordinate risk assessments to analyse current risks and identifying potential security risks that are affecting operations across all business units. You will manage complex risk-based projects and develop as well as implement transformative risk management processes and tools. You will innovate and leverage the latest technologies to manage risk as well as establish key risk indicators and monitor their effectiveness. You manage the lifecycle of initiatives, mitigate long-term risks, and identify paths forward in complex situations as well as seek opportunities to continually improve, streamline, and eliminate excess processes or controls. Finally, you work independently using expertise and judgment to spot risks, challenge, and determine the right stakeholders to inform decisions affecting the problem.
About the team
Working in partnership with our stakeholders, Security and Loss Prevention secures the Amazon supply chain end-to-end and promotes security during business conversations. Sitting within Security and Loss Prevention, the Risk Management team does this by creating and maintaining risk frameworks to ensure continuation of our business, providing risk assessments, risk preparedness, contingency planning, and incident response as a service to business and operational Security and Loss Prevention teams. We provide strategic, tactical, and operational mechanisms by working closely with senior management and various other support teams in a global framework. We accomplish this through policies and standardized guidelines based on best practices, using technology to eliminate subjectivity, complexity, and variation, identifying, preparing for, and mitigating the impact of adverse events, and auditing our practices to ensure compliance and consistency.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
- Master's degree or equivalent
