Senior Financial Analyst, Accounting
DESCRIPTION
Amazon is looking for a proactive and result oriented Senior Financial Analyst to become a major contributor to our Accounting team based in Luxembourg and to focus on financial reporting, audit support and statutory compliance. In this position, you will be expected to own and lead positive change including evaluating and streamlining existing processes (through automation) and developing best practice in controllership on an international level.
Key job responsibilities
• Preparation of statutory financial statements under local GAAPs;
• Preparation of various deliverables to support both internal and external financial and statutory needs, including analytic commentary and the preparation of supplementary financial analysis for management and other stakeholders;
• Actively contributing to improvement initiatives, standardization, re-engineering of processes and controls, and implementation of best practices;
• Working with various cross-functional stakeholders to maintain efficient and compliant reporting processes, and effective controls;
• Proactively participating in supporting current and future business launch initiatives and other projects;
• Actively contributing to cross-functional, European and global projects and initiatives, collaborating closely with stakeholders across the organization;

About the team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Experience with an emphasis on accounting and financial reporting, preferably gained within a Big Four firm and / or a multinational organization
- Thorough level knowledge in reporting requirements under IFRS / US GAAP;
- Certified accountant qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Proficient Microsoft Excel user
- Fluent English proficiency (verbal & written - C1)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Solid organizational skills along with an aptitude for information technology
- Comfortable managing ambiguous situations
- Experience in projects management
- Passion to continuously enhance processes and reduce manual efforts through automation or optimization initiatives.
