Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate has current and extensive experience developing and building Android systems and applications. The candidate understands what the limitations of the platform are and can design and implement additional services or help optimize existing ones to meet the product requirements. The ideal candidate:

- Has in-depth expertise working with Android system
- Independently lead complex technical initiatives within your team
- Good understanding of Multimedia domain and associated technologies
- Hands on experience in linux kernel, drivers and BSPs
- Profiency in C++, Java, Kotlin, Rust.
- Mentor and lead developers by cultivating curiosity and deep technical understanding
- Explore technical needs and bring solutions to the table
- Work with other lead engineers to develop a unified technical strategy for Android


A day in the life
In a typical day, you work closely with FireTV developers, SoC vendors, ODMs, Hardware team, and technical program managers to create new features, optimizing related issues, and deliver customer loving high quality smart TV products on time. We also work on the cutting edge of TV technology space.

Smart TV Solution Engineering team is responsible for the delivery of integrated smartTV experiences at planet scale for our partner branded SmartTV business

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
