The Amazon Payment Product team is responsible for developing the platform and applications used to introduce new and innovative payment methods to customers as well as support Amazon’s global CoBrand and Private label credit cards along with the world’s largest rewards catalog, Shop with Points. The technology we build and operate varies widely, ranging from large scale Distributed Engineering incorporating the latest from Machine Learning in the Big Data space to customer and mobile friendly User Experiences. We innovate on behalf of our customers by partnering with business, financial partners and internal teams in Amazon. We engineer business solutions to help our customers get unrivalled value out of their cards on the Amazon websites.
Our QAEs are not pure black box testers, they are able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with Scripting tools and/or user-level automated tools. QAEs at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of taking up tasks from start to completion with minimal help. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will test applications and products at the user level and code level, both manually and with automated tools. You will be responsible for understanding the domain and the product in detail and coming up with the test strategy and planning, driving the test case sign-off processes with the stakeholders, contributing to code level unit tests, test execution and reporting.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- BS degree in computer science or equivalent, or 4+ years of technical work experience
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience scripting or coding
- Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
- Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality

The base salary for this position ranges from $72,600/year up to $121,200/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
