PR + Influencer Specialist, GPLI (GenPop, Lifestyle, Influencer) Devices & Services PR
DESCRIPTION
Amazon is seeking a driven, savvy and creative PR professional to support US Consumer PR campaigns for the Amazon Devices & Services business. In this role, you will execute programs targeting lifestyle media and influencers in support of brands across the Amazon Devices portfolio, including Alexa, Kindle, Ring, and Fire TV.
The successful candidate will have significant experience supporting small to large-scale integrated consumer campaigns and creative news generation. They will also be comfortable providing counsel and guidance to a wide variety of counterparts across multiple disciplines, juggling numerous priorities on tight deadlines, and being an organized and thoughtful leader. The PR Specialist role is hands-on and requires a team player willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
The role is high on Think Big, Bias For Action and Ownership – this person will be able to work fast, Deliver Results, demonstrate strong judgement and have exceptional attention to detail. As this is a cross-org role, this team member needs to be able to work collaboratively and productively with a matrix of PR and business partners, as well as external agencies.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a consumer PR/influencer expert with a demonstrated understanding of what resonates with a brand's audience
- Drive project management for consumer PR/influencer campaigns that align with business objectives while generating coverage
- Represent PR and support project management for integrated consumer campaigns in partnership with cross functional teams
- Identify and execute storytelling and content opportunities based on cultural events and news cycles
- Supporting development and execution of strategies, including communicating plans internally and securing leadership approvals
- Provide counsel to cross-functional teams on PR/influencer strategies, approaches, and messaging
- Develop and manage relationships with a range of top-tier media contacts and influencers
- Help manage a third-party agency to support PR/influencer activities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Experience promoting consumer products and brands within a PR agency or in-house
- Extensive experience demonstrating comfort in dealing with high-level consumer media contacts across news, lifestyle, and broadcast sectors, as well as influencers (in a paid and earned capacity)
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field

- Ability to develop hooks/angles/campaigns of interest to press and influencers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $147,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
