Senior Financial Analyst, Advertising Sales Finance
DESCRIPTION
Amazon Advertising is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to be a key Finance leader supporting our Partners (Independent Agencies & Technology Partners) Team within the Amazon Advertising Sales Team. . The successful candidate will collaborate with the business team who are charge of developing our long term strategy, working closely with our locale teams on key initiatives, and identifying and driving incremental revenue streams. This role will define and review annual business goals, develop business and compensation plans, prepare and lead weekly business reviews, drive the development, standardization, and automation of Sales finance reporting. Additionally, this role will play a key component in structuring, planning and driving key planning cycles – including articulating and developing sales inputs and the related outputs.
The right individual will have strong communication skills and solid business acumen capable of building new business views and translate business problems/asks into actionable data-oriented insights. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve and prioritize. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive the overall financial assessment and strategic planning for the Partners team within Amazon Advertising Sales
- Generate monthly/weekly financial reporting on the overall health and performance of the business, highlighting various financial insights and areas of risks or opportunities versus plan
- Contribute to the annual long-term forecast and annual operating plan
- Evaluate new and ambiguous business opportunities through financial modelling and sensitivity analytics
- Participate as a key contributor in the creation of Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, and long-term strategy/investment decisions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
