With Amazon FSx, in just minutes you can provision a Lustre parallel file system that can process massive data sets at up to hundreds of gigabytes per second of throughput, millions of IOPS, and sub-millisecond latencies. Our customers solve compute-intensive problems in a wide variety of industries, including genomics, media & entertainment, machine learning, autonomous vehicles, financial analysis and more, and they love it!
As an engineer on Amazon FSx for Lustre, you will design, build and operate petabyte-scale distributed file systems. Partnering with your team, you will be solving challenging distributed systems, systems programming, and networking problems using the latest hardware technologies AWS has to offer. You will be a key contributor to the future direction and growth of the service. You will be part of a team of highly productive and action-oriented professionals as we architect and implement the next set of features and functionality. Utility Computing (UC)
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

A day in the life
Our team of talented, passionate engineers use the latest in serverless and virtualization technologies to build distributed systems at AWS scale. We solve complex, varied problems to enable customers in a diverse set of businesses from AI/ML to EDA, Media & Entertainment to HPC, and enterprise IT. We build infrastructure-as-code to deploy software quickly and efficiently across the globe and automate the monitoring and health of our software at never- seen-before scale.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
