DESCRIPTION

As a Business Intelligence Engineer in PXT, you will be instrumental in building and delivering robust analytics solutions that drive strategic workforce decisions. You'll work closely with HR business partners, technology teams, and stakeholders to transform complex workforce data into actionable insights that shape Amazon's employee experience.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable reporting solutions and dashboards for key HR metrics and workforce analytics
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for processing HR data from multiple sources
- Create predictive models for workforce planning, talent acquisition, and employee engagement
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Build automated monitoring systems to ensure data quality and accuracy
- Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic HR initiatives
- Work across PXT orgs to determine synergy of analytics reporting capabilities and reduce redundancy and manual reporting efforts
- Scale reporting solutions and analytics to meet "placement" decisions (HRP, CSA) as part of the site strategy initiative
- Drive improvements to Clarity, Quicksight, Tableau reports to be real-time and provide actionable insights to our Field OPS and PXT partners
- Provide analysis and entitlement calculation models to the Global Programs team for new, ongoing and KTLO initiatives
- Author new reports that have new models/insights for OPs/PXT work as part of the HRP centralization effort

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
