Head Finance, Prime Video India
DESCRIPTION
We are hiring for the position of Head of Finance, Prime Video India to be the lead finance business partner for the Country Director, Prime Video India and drive profitable growth for Prime Video and Amazon Studios in India – across subscription, advertising, marketplace and studios businesses. This is a people manager role, and will be based in Mumbai.
Key job responsibilities
- Understanding customer and competitive trends in the streaming segment
- Developing, jointly with business stakeholders, Prime Video’s strategy for segment leadership
- Supporting Content, Product, Marketing, Marketplace, and Distribution leaders to define functional execution plans
- Creating the business case for key strategic initiatives (e.g. product launches, new business models, partnerships)
- Setting headline business goals, identifying controllable inputs, enabling delivery and tracking performance
- Leading key financial planning mechanisms (e.g. long-range plan, operating plan, quarterly guidance)
- Owning, jointly with business stakeholders, quarterly / monthly / weekly business review mechanisms
- Defining financial guardrails for, and conducting financial evaluations of key commercial decisions (e.g. third party distribution, content licensing, content production, ad sales, marketplace deals)
- Maintaining effective controllership of marketing, content and operating expense budgets and advances
- Driving free cash flow and finance process improvement / automation initiatives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or other quantitative fields
- 15+ years of work experience, including as finance business partner in a large / high-growth company
- Experience in hiring, developing and managing a team of finance analysts and finance managers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree (e.g. MBA) from a premier institution
- Experience in Technology / Media / Telecom / Consumer Products
- Experience in Strategy / Insights / Analytics roles (e.g. management consulting)
- Advanced spreadsheet skills and familiarity with financial reporting software (e.g. Cognos)
