Rack Decom Technician Trainee, Data Center Operations
DESCRIPTION
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Trainee Data Center Technician to join our Rack Decommissioning team as part of our Work Based Learning Program (WBLP).
As a trainee, you will participate in our 3 months work and training program. This position will help ensure overall availability and reliability for our customers within our Data Centers in Sweden.
Key job responsibilities
• Installing new rack equipment
• Decommissioning existing racks
• Repairing and diagnosing broken servers
• Handling computer equipment and parts
• Managing network hear during installation, decommissioning, and repair
A day in the life
In this role, you'll be working on our advanced ticketing system
You'll be part of a collaborative team that keeps our cloud infrastructure running smoothly, responding to both automated directives and team leadership with exceptional time management and adaptability.
Your expertise in problem ticket tracking and escalation procedures will be crucial as you consistently meet and exceed Amazon's high standards for technical proficiency and operational excellence. This role is vital in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our sophisticated data center infrastructure – you'll be working and supporting the face of Cloud technology in the region.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• High school or equivalent diploma
• STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education
• Are 18 years of age or older
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
• Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
• Work 10 hour shifts as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
This position also has a physical component requiring the ability to lift & rack equipment up to 20Kg; it may require working in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
- Familiarity with computer hardware components and operating systems
- Ability to manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordination with Manager
- Has taken STEM or vocational course curriculum
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity
