Finance Manager, Grocery Stores Tech Finance
DESCRIPTION
The WW Grocery Tech team is at the forefront of all of the expansion and innovation of Grocery at Amazon, including supporting Fresh, Whole Foods and Amazon.com. We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our WW Grocery Tech & Special Projects Finance team to play a critical role supporting Grocery Experience (CX) and Product Management Tech. This role leads key controllership functions including opex management, planning cycles, headcount, financial analysis and other ad hoc projects. It serves as the go-to finance partner for a important area of the business and will drive deep dives, bridging analysis, Free Cash Flow programs to deliver insights, influence business partners and help shape critical decisions.
Team Exposure/Scope:
This role partners directly with two Tech business directors and will have high visibility and exposure to many finance and business teams all across the WW Stores organization, including Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market.
Success in this role:
Everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats, and work in a highly collaborative environment that’s more start-up than big company. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical in this role.

Key job responsibilities
• Drive long term strategic thinking in partnership with Grocery Experience (CX) and Product Management Tech leaders
• Identify opportunities within this area to build cross functional business models to improve topline and drive down costs
• Drive Long term free cashflow workstreams to help optimize investment framework decisions
• Lead industry benchmark analysis including competitive advantage, opportunities to double down on in areas of cost, productivity and quality
• Work with a variety of data sources to shape strategy for the Grocery Innovation team
• Contributes to work life harmony by being a positive, collaborative, and influencer to new team members as an indicator of operations excellence
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
