Business Analyst, Selling Partner Risk
DESCRIPTION
Amazon's Selling Partner Risk organization is seeking an exceptional Business Analyst to drive analysis and insights to help our teams make meaningful business decisions. As a Business Analyst, you will focus on solving real world problems and build business cases to enable the organization to scale and invent on behalf of its customers. A key component of the role is to identify improvement opportunities by monitoring existing metrics, analyzing data, and partnering with many internal teams. In addition, you will design and develop automated reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions. Lastly, you will enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format. The ideal candidate will be expected to influence and work with other leaders within the Selling Partner Risk organization.
Key job responsibilities
• Produce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders that will help shape effective strategies.
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions
• Simplify and automate reporting, audits, and other data activities; build solutions to have maximum scale and self-service ability by stakeholders.
• Solve complex and broad business problems with analytically derived solutions, applying appropriate analytical best practices.
• Develop programs, methodologies, and reports for analyzing and presenting data.
• Effectively collaborate in a fast-paced environment with multiple teams in a large organization.
About the team
Selling Partner Risk's mission is to protect Customers, Selling Partners, Brands and Amazon’s businesses. We achieve this by proactively: (1) Ensuring robust vetting of a seller’s identity, location, and payment instruments and stopping bad actors from launching a new selling account, (2) Stopping bad actors from compromising existing selling accounts, (3) Stopping bad actors attempts to engage in financial fraud, (4) Preventing bad actors from driving sales through rank or reviews manipulation, and (5) Eliminating financial incentives for bad actors. We continue to scale Amazon’s businesses while protecting Buyers, Brands and Selling Partners while adhering to regulatory expectations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with SQL
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in Fraud, Risk, Abuse, Loss Prevention, and/or Internal Investigations. Experience working with data in these spaces is highly preferred.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
