ABOUT THIS ROLE
At Audible, content is at our core; as a member of the Global Content Finance & Corp Dev team, you’ll use both qualitative and quantitative methods to identify strategic opportunities for Audible to provide a differentiated offering that delights our customers. Drawing on cross-functional expertise, you will present opportunities for new organic growth to our senior leadership team and partner across the business to develop operational plans to make those opportunities a reality. Our team seeks individuals who are passionate about using data to help drive informed decisions for the company and our customers. We’re looking for an analytical and creative thinker, with the ability to ask the right questions and develop a point of view that will influence decisions.

As a Associate Director, Corp Dev & Strategic Finance, you will...
- Build cohesive strategic plans to accomplish business objectives, identify specific areas of opportunity through quantitative and qualitative analysis, and formulate goals and milestones that will enable us to achieve those objectives
- Draft recommendations using a combination of Excel, PowerPoint and the PR/FAQ format based on input from content, product, marketing, finance, analytics, and technology leadership teams
- Be a strategic advisor for senior leadership across the organization on build/buy/partner opportunities
- Drive cross-functional initiatives, leading by influence and without direct authority
- Actively provide an “outside-in” perspective and recommend strategic priorities based on competitive and consumer intelligence
- Observe trends in media, technology, and spoken word and proactively surface short and long-term strategic opportunities for leadership
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the organization, mobilizing cross-functional groups against our strategic plan
- Work closely with Amazon’s investment funds and the company’s other media & entertainment and digital business units to think holistically on behalf of our customers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years experience in a combination of digital media and investment banking, private equity/venture capital, management consulting, or corporate development
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Math, or related fields
- Quantitative background with direct transactional modeling and analysis experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the digital media content landscape, particularly audio
- Self-starter attitude with strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build relationships and work seamlessly with a variety of personalities and functional disciplines
- Proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to success
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal); can succinctly and clearly communicate, and able to produce documents and presentations that are ready for leadership review
- Global, transactional leadership experience in the digital media space as both a strategic and financial buyer/investor
- MBA
