We protect Customers, Selling Partners and Amazon financials to ensure a trustworthy experience. We identify evolving business problems, leverage machine learning techniques to act fast against abusive behavior in a scalable and automated way.

We are looking for a highly motivated risk manager to solve exciting business problems in large scale. This role will perform comprehensive investigations to identify business problems and root cause, use data to locate patterns of risks, and drive the implementation of large scale solutions. The risk manager will work with product and program managers, machine learning scientists, risk SMEs across areas, as well as stakeholders outside of Selling Partner Risk.

Key job responsibilities
- Conduct deep dive investigations to derive business problems and use cases in an ambiguous environment.
- Analyze data to discover bad actor trends.
- Present investigation summaries to include key learnings and propose solutions.
- Identify gaps and risks in current mechanisms and policies and recommend improvements to product/policy owning teams.
- Use high-level judgment to own our most complex enforcement decisions.
- Effectively prioritize opportunities and communicate with stakeholders/dependency teams.

About the team
The Financial Fraud team manages risk vectors where bad actors seek financial gain through illegitimate activities on Amazon and cause negative impact to Amazon buyers. Our vision is to protect customers and Amazon’s financials from exposure to bad actors; we disincentive bad actors by preventing them from exiting illegitimate funds through disbursement, refunds, and unauthorized payment methods or using illegitimate funds to purchase Amazon value-added services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience producing written documentation, to include, but not limited to products, procedures, and instruction
- Experience with SQL and Excel
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
