Join AWS Public Policy team to shape the future of cloud computing in the EU. We're seeking an experienced Public Policy professional to drive AWS's engagement with EU institutions and industry bodies on broader economic regulation affecting cloud computing. This Brussels-based role will also lead policy work across the EU with a focus on Germany.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop and execute policy strategies on economic regulations affecting cloud computing • Expand and maintain AWS's engagement with EU and national policy-makers, specifically in Germany • Coordinate pan-European industry positions through trade associations and coalitions • Drive thought leadership initiatives and policy research projects • Work cross-functionally with AWS and Amazon public policy, Legal and PR teams across Europe to ensure policy alignment.

About the team
This position will report to the Director, Public Policy, and work closely with other public policy team members to execute on goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of relevant experience in EU and/or German public affairs • Deep understanding of institutional processes • Proven track record in technology policy advocacy • Established network within EU institutions and industry bodies • Advanced degree in EU law, economics, or related field • Fluent in English and German.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with or within EU institutions • Strong coalition-building capabilities across multiple jurisdictions • Legal background with experience in a law firm • Strong stakeholder management skills across cultural contexts • Excellence in written and verbal communication • Strategic thinking and ability to navigate complex policy environments • Experience in technology sector public affairs
