DESCRIPTION

Amazon seeks a high performing Finance Manager to be a key member in our Devices Finance Reverse Logistics team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Reverse Supply business in a role where you will have regular interaction with executives and product lines across the organization. In this highly visible role, the Finance Manager will partner with the Reverse Logistics team to define strategy for the business as they continue to expand into new product categories and geographies across the Devices business. Some of the key responsibilities for this person will include a) building key metrics and models and presenting financials to leadership on a regular basis during monthly and quarterly business reviews and c) owning the Reverse Logistics P&L c) working with the business on future strategic initiatives d) supporting the business with ad hoc scenario analysis to guide in decision making and e) partnering with the business to drive shared goals with other cross-functional teams. This role requires a self starter with exceptionally strong analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Key job responsibilities
1. Influence decision making using data and metrics
2. Manage a full P&L for new business initiatives
3. Partner strategically with Reverse Logistics to assess business cases for new initiatives
4. Work with the BI team to automate models and metrics reporting
5. Partner with business on cost optimization strategies
6. Present financials and narrative in MBRs/QBRs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA, or CPA
- 7+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Power Query, Python)
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
