Senior Quality Control Program Manager, QAQC
DESCRIPTION
Amazon is looking for a Data Center Quality Control Program Manager(QCPM) to develop and execute a new, owner-led quality control program for the entire data centre life-cycle (construction, final inspection/testing/commissioning, customer turnover, warranty). The QCPM will create the foundation for the build control program and lead developing a team of build quality control professionals.
The QCPM will work on some of the most technical, cost-efficient, and fast-paced data centre construction projects in the world. The successful candidate will be obsessed with customers and quality improvement, detailed and data-driven, and will be hands-on and committed to creating, launching, and improving a world-class construction quality control program.

Key job responsibilities
1. Lead the implementation of QAQC processes throughout data centre construction projects, from pre-design to turnover phases and beyond.
2. Review design documents and provide feedback on constructability, maintainability, and quality assurance measures.
3. Develop and maintain quality control plans, factory/field inspection checklists, and relevant documentation.
4. Conduct onsite QAQC inspections for installation activities, ensuring compliance with AWS standards and specifications.
5. Coordinate with third-party Quality Control Agents/Vendors (QCA) to ensure comprehensive QAQC.
6. Facilitate regular QC meetings with stakeholders to review and address quality-related issues.
7. Monitor and report on quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Identify, document, and track quality defects or non-conformances, ensuring timely resolution.
9. Compile and deliver comprehensive quality control turnover packages for each project phase.
10. Conduct final quality reviews and walkthroughs with key stakeholders prior to project handover.
11. Facilitate knowledge transfer to end customers on QAQC processes and lessons learned.
12. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analysing quality data and proposing process enhancements.
13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Construction Management, Commissioning, and Data Center Engineering Operations to ensure seamless project execution.
14. Stay current with industry best practices and AWS-specific quality standards, incorporating them into quality control processes.

The AWS Data Center Commissioning Team (ACx) is a wholly independent business within the DCGS organization. This team of veteran professional Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Controls Engineers, Architectural Engineers, Project Managers, Operators and seasoned Amazonians are uniquely positioned to provide deeply detailed engineering and operational review and testing of equipment designs, operational functionality and construction practices. We are focused on ensuring the rapid delivery of a quality product while maintaining full transparency, recording metrics of manufacturer/contractor/equipment issues pre-PFHO, and identifying opportunities for all our peers and customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 7+ years experience in quality control, construction management, or related field, preferably in data centre or critical infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, mechanical and electrical systems, and quality control methodologies.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction quality control.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) or Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience with data center infrastructure and critical systems or those with related complexity.
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and cloud computing concepts.
