Sr. Technical Program Manager, AWS Fintech
DESCRIPTION
AWS Fintech team is looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager to transform and optimize high-scale, world class financial systems that power the global AWS business. The success of these systems will fundamentally impact the profitability and financial reporting for AWS and Amazon.
This position will play an integral role in leading programs that impact multiple AWS suppliers and organizations within Amazon. These programs will involve multiple development teams across diverse organizations to build sophisticated, highly reliable financial systems. These systems enable routine finance operations as well as machine learning, analytics, and GenAI reporting that enable AWS Finance to optimize profitability and free cash flow.
This position requires a proactive, highly organized individual with an aptitude for data-driven decision making, a deep curiosity for learning new systems, and collaborative skills to work with both technical and financial teams.

A day in the life
As a Sr. TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Familiarity with financial concepts (e.g. accounting ledgers) and/or Supply-chain business processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
