Software Development Engineer, Pricing Systems
DESCRIPTION
The Pricing Systems team is part of the centralized technology and machine learning team in the WW Retail Pricing org which develops strategic solutions and platforms to drive innovations to improve price perception, optimization and price competitiveness.
As an SDE in the Pricing team, you’ll work closely with some of the brightest software engineers, research scientists, and product managers to optimally price products for our customers. You and your fellow engineers are responsible for designing the architecture, building the software, and working with the team to deploy your solutions across the globe in a scalable manner.
You should be comfortable diving deep into technical architectures and requirements, be able to quickly identify solutions to challenges discovered during development, and deliver impactful features to customers in a timely manner.
Key job responsibilities
As an SDE in the Pricing Systems team, you’ll work with a team of engineers solving meaningful real-world business problems and be responsible for setting high standards in architecture, quality and delivery. You take the lead in designing and implementing innovative and scalable solutions, maintaining existing systems to be continuously durable, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with senior and principal engineers within the organization.
About the team
We develop technical solutions for Amazon retail business at a scalable rate in hands-of-the-wheel manner using competitor data and science/ML as our primary inputs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
