Instructional Designer, Associate Training Automation
DESCRIPTION
Global Operations Learning and Development is looking for an Instructional Designer (ID) to join the Associate Training Automation (ATA) team to help develop and build innovative and scalable learning products for associate process path training. In this role you will leverage think big, invent and simplify, strive to be earth’s best employer to deliver results for our tier 1 associates and operations business.
ATA needs ID’s who are highly skilled in Storyline and familiar with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. The ID will partner with multiple stakeholders from various countries and be an active participant in the full ADDIE process as well as ongoing course maintenance.
The ability to travel once per quarter (nationally) and locally as needed is required.
Key job responsibilities
- Build learning content end-to-end using the ADDIE framework and Articulate Storyline 360
- Build instructor led and self-paced trainings
- Interpret data trends to adjust content
- Write clear and concise standard work for ID processes
- Engage with stakeholders to understand the subject matter and operational context, and present solutions
- Manage project tasks and milestones within standard project management platform
- Provide well written monthly updates on content progress

Associate Training Automation (ATA) is part of Global Operations Learning and Development. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in the instructional technology, educational technology, organizational development, or related fields.
- At least 3+ years of work experience in the field of instructional design.
- 3+ years advanced experience with Articulate Storyline.
- Experience developing self-paced eLearning curriculums, storyboards, job aids, online tutorials, and assessments.
- Professional Portfolio
- Experiencing using Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in a related discipline (instructional design or adult education)
- Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, or content-specific certifications as appropriate (CPLP, CPT, etc.)
- Project management experience including planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, time management, and doing whatever it takes to deliver results
- Excellent group facilitation and content delivery skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results
- Experience with Testing or Validation processes and procedures, including end-to-end system integration.
- Ability to absorb complex information efficiently and quickly, and explain complex ideas relatively simply to non-experts in a way they can interpret the information.
- Capable of managing multi-channel tasks, adjusting priorities in response to scheduled commitments to customers, and resourcing constraints across stakeholder teams.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $57,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $123,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
