Instock Manager, Mass Vendor Relations
DESCRIPTION
Amazon.com.br is looking for a smart and driven Instock Manager to join our Mass Vendor Relations team in Brazil. The Instock Manager will be responsible for supporting and executing demand planning to maximize product availability, margins and inventory turns with highly scalable processes for thousands of vendors. This person will have responsibility for ensuring inventory systems and processes are meeting the needs of the business and implementing controls around these. The right candidate thrives in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel.
The Instock Manager will own driving improvement in inventory availability, increasing inventory efficiency, selection growth and improving purchasing processes. The successful candidate possesses a track record of successful implementation and execution of inventory management practices, leveraging strong analytical acumen and working with cross-functional teams. The position requires an individual who can work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail. The candidate should be able to manage multiple vendors simultaneously and make sure items are always available to our customers in Brazil. This role is located in São Paulo, Brazil.

Key job responsibilities
Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
- Manage the supply chain to guarantee an efficient inbound and outbound inventory flows among: forecasting, purchasing, and solving receipts problems
- Work with vendors to ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of goods
- Deliver maximum available selection in the category
- Design seasonal and promotional inventory preparation plan
- Control budgets and deliver actions to to meet inventory targets
- Execute action plans to reduce return/liquidation costs
Operational Efficiency:
- Measure and improve purchasing lead times, reduce operational defects, and improve systems to streamline operations between vendors and Amazon
- Perform root cause analysis/reporting on operational issues, develop action plans and manage improvements
Project Management:
- Work with internal teams to drive system, tools and process improvements/implementation that affect purchasing and vendor management workflow, with emphasis on automating tasks that are currently performed manually
- Develop analysis of key business metrics, with emphasis on developing and executing recommendations for improvement
- Lead projects from initial development to implementation that will streamline supply systems and processes and drive operational improvements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced English Proficiency
- Experience in product/category management or commercial planning.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain and/or supply management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of the principles of statistical inventory control
- Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
- Proficiency in SQL and database concepts
