Senior Financial Analyst, Advertising FP&A

Advertising Finance is seeking a strong Finance Analyst to support Financial Reporting and Analysis for our rapidly growing Amazon Advertising business. This role will manage the reporting and forecasting of Ads P&L. The pace and growth of the business along with its increasing complexity, make this role an exciting, interesting, and very challenging proposition. We seek a highly motivated individual eager to make a big impact while developing crucial FP&A skills. The ideal candidate will be a detail-orientated finance professional to drive FP&A process, creative and analytical problem solver who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, a collaborative team player to work with a dynamic network of Business and Finance partners, and an innovator to drive continuous improvement in our closing and forecast process.

Key job responsibilities
• Manage the monthly process of updating advertising product and cost center data in the company's financial system
• Manage monthly and quarterly financial performance reports and analysis to support management review
• Contribute to quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range financial planning
• Automate and scale Ads report to provide additional transparency to stakeholders inside and outside Ads
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and anecdote deep-dives that assist decision making by senior leadership


About the team
Advertising FP&A team was formed in 2018 and serves as the central nerve system, coordinating the efforts of all of the other Ads Finance teams. We support Advertising leaders and finance teams by coordinating and consolidating deliverables, centralizing and standardizing processes, establishing financial controls and mechanisms, building tools that improve the speed of decision making, and providing insightful financial analysis on the short and long term strategy of Advertising.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 2+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- CPA, or CFA
- Knowledge of Tableau

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
