Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports – including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll and MGM+. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.

The Content Discovery Experiences team (CDEX, for short) plays a vital role in connecting audiences with the compelling stories and content on Prime Video. Our mission is to foster long-lasting relationships between viewers and the service, ensuring they keep coming back for more. Our work combines the art of curation and personalization with sophisticated data science and machine learning algorithms. We shape the Prime Video experience through human-curated content groupings, personalized recommendations powered by advanced relevance models, and deep insights into viewer behavior. We also enable seamless content discovery via text search and voice integrations with Alexa and third-party devices.

As a Sr Technical Program Manager you will lead large and complex programs that span multiple business units. You have excellent organization, program management, and communication skills, and a motivation to deliver results in a fast paced environment. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex system software, is customer-centric, and feels strongly about connecting customer problems through underlying scalable software that raises the bar on customer and operational goals.

Key job responsibilities
* You will join a team of passionate engineers, software leaders and product owners who innovate and develop new ways to search for video content across Prime Video's expanding catalog.
* You will lead projects that develop scalable, low latency and high availability tier 1 services .
* You will work with product manager, merchandisers and software engineers to experiment and launch new platform capabilities that enable two-pizza teams to become more efficient and improve the Prime Video customer experience.
* Finally, you will partner with senior leaders across the org in developing a strategic vision for Prime Video, while also mentoring and developing a team of enthusiastic engineers.
This role reports into a Senior Manager, and has direct exposure to Directors and VPs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
