DESCRIPTION
Amazon is looking for a customer focused, team-oriented, and analytical leader to join the Toys & Entertainment team.
The Senior Vendor Manager, Toys & Entertainment will be responsible for the total P&L of a Toys & Entertainment segment, setting the strategy for driving growth, creating strong partnerships with selling partners, adding and inspiring new selection, managing category profitability, optimizing business inputs and outputs, and delivering our vision for our customer experience. This includes identifying potential brand and product business opportunities, building direct relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, working with suppliers to build comprehensive joint business plans and developing collaborative marketing and promotions, and driving sales and margin improvements. The right candidate stays on top of market segment and competitive trends, and is able to execute at both a tactical and strategic level to drive selection, sales, and margin growth. In addition, the Sr Vendor Manager must be an effective leader and communicator internally and externally, spanning selling partners, supply chain, marketing, PR, Finance, operations and tech teams.
The ideal candidate has strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management. Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills are musts. The Senior Vendor Manager is an effective leader and communicator and a seasoned problem-solver.
This position provides leadership within the Toys & Entertainment category - driving systems, process, and customer experience improvements that will benefit all categories within the team and across Amazon Stores.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
