DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer II to join our Tools and Content Strategy team within IT Services. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in elevating our content quality, maintaining documentation standards, and driving data-driven improvements in our self-service content ecosystem.

Key job responsibilities
- Support and manage the Bar Raiser program for self-service content
- Conduct regular audits of existing content to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Develop and deliver training programs to improve content creation skills leading with automation
- Maintain and update supporting documentation for content creation best practices
- Monitor and analyze content-specific metrics and KPIs
- Assess content accuracy and implement strategies for continuous improvement
- Prepare regular reports on content performance and present insights to stakeholders
- Contribute to core content development for launches and updates
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms
- Participate in the development and implementation of content strategies to enhance user experience
- Identify opportunities for content optimization and innovation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3-5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a technology or IT environment
- Strong writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with content management systems and documentation tools
- Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with IT service management or support documentation
- Knowledge of Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) methodologies
- Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation and management tools
- Experience in managing content testing

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
