Business Intelligence Engineer, Workforce Solutions

DESCRIPTION

The Workforce Solutions team is actively seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer who can build new business intelligence solutions end-to-end, with opportunities to utilize data and develop new ways to answer a wide variety of questions. Your contributions will be instrumental to tackle staffing challenges within Amazon's warehouses. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, have a strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and be driven by a desire to innovate in this space.

Key job responsibilities
• Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly reports and dashboards
• Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into actionable insights
• Work closely with data engineering, product management, Data Scientists and business stakeholders to deliver features to customers
• Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through compelling data visualizations and presentations
• Serve as liaison between the business and technical teams to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights into current program performance, and ad-hoc investigations to support future improvements or innovations
• Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis through data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
