Sr. Program Manager, Payments Initiatives
DESCRIPTION
Do you want to bring easy, convenient and affordable payment options to our customers in Mexico? Amazon Payments team is looking for a highly analytical Senior Program and Partner Manager to drive the Payments business strategy for Amazon.com.mx. We are looking for a smart and innovative leader who is self-sufficient and thrives in ambiguity, and can drive results across external partners, internal business teams and technical teams. This position involves regular communication with senior management, therefore effective executive presentation skills are essential.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing key payment partners, driving operational excellence, supporting new product launches, and overseeing payments cross-functional workstreams. This role requires a motivated self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with limited supervision. The successful candidate will be both strategic and hands-on, diving deep into all areas of the team to ensure exceptional customer experiences, operational efficiencies, and financial accuracy.
Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will lead in the following areas:
• Program management working together with technical teams to improve payments products and customer experience
• Project management, including creating business justifications and functional requirements for new products, features, and markets.
• Strong data analysis experience, extracting insights that drive business decisions
• Business management, including creating business strategy and managing program metrics
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion of studies required
- Fluent in both, English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
