Our team is responsible for creating the best delivery experience for transporters wherever they deliver packages using their favorite Android or iOS devices. As a Software Development Engineer within the Delivery Technology Organization you will contribute to the next generation mobile foundation to power fast, fluid, and interactive experiences on mobile devices worldwide.

As a key member of the Last Mile Delivery Technology team you will be an innovator, playing a direct role in shaping and building products that partner teams rely on and customers love on top of Amazon's technology. A day in the life
The team is a strong, close-knit group with a focus on learning, growing, and delivering results together. We have regular architecture and knowledge shares, and our high level of team trust makes this the ideal environment to lead and grow to the next level. Team owns the communication platform that enables communication between drivers, amazon customers, support agents, DSPs and other last mile entities to make successful deliveries–on-road, off-road. We enable driver engagement, creating avenues for drivers to provide feedback. The team own end to end experience for these communication channels like calling, texting, targeted content, push notifications.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 3+ years of AWS cloud-native development utilizing CDK or other similar Infrastructure-as-Code libraries
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Expertise with React, React-tangential libraries and constructs, HTML, CSS and ECMAScript14.
- Expertise with Java and common Java libraries (eg Spring)
- Experience with React state management libraries (eg Redux)
- Understanding of performance optimization, accessibility and internationalization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written & verbal communication and collaboration skills.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Ideal candidate has experience with real time communication and chat applications, globally distributed, utilizing AWS services.
