DESCRIPTION
Get on the ground floor of a new and exciting business opportunity at Amazon Books. Our Senior Product Manager - Tech will own a range of customer facing experiences, applying Amazon's famed Customer Obsession and Think Big to a new and new and highly visible initiative.
The ideal candidate will be innovative, team oriented, and an effective communicator. We further seek candidates that have experience working with cross functional teams of tech, marketing, legal and finance, and can exercise strong judgement and apply frameworks to unblock teams and deliver under tight deadlines.
Key job responsibilities
* Defining new products and services that drive customer engagement
* Evaluating the business opportunity and application of new and emerging technologies
* Generating buy-in for the product vision with leadership and partner teams
* Creating and maintaining an optimized and logically sequenced roadmap
* Translating customer experiences into clearly defined product requirements
* Managing prioritization and trade-offs to ensure delivery of a great customer experience
* Anticipating and resolving strategic issues that impair the team’s ability to deliver
* Leading cross-functionally to ensure the product vision is implemented effectively
* Familiar with A/B testing practices.
About the team
The Amazon Bookstore team owns the customer experience for browsing for, evaluating, and buying physical and digital books from a catalog of tens of millions of titles.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
