Key job responsibilities
- Quickly adopt guidelines, frameworks, and other brand parameters and ensure that the quality of copy is upheld across all asks
- Make informed copy decisions based on expertise, best practices, guidelines, and research
- Write succinct and scalable copy for product launches, promotions, and copy testing
- Track, organize, and document any learnings from testing to be integrated into copy resources for scale
- Collaborate and earn trust with designers, researchers, product leads, and marketing partners

At Amazon Music, our Copy Strategists are big thinkers who love little detail). They’re fans of audio content (music, podcasts, and now...audiobooks!) and they let fandom drive their work and the pursuit of the best customer experience. As a Growth Marketing Copy Strategist, you’ll work cross-functionally with our Growth Marketing team to help shape how we show up for fans, artists, and creators across a wide range of Marketing channels. You'll collaborate with an exceptional group of UX and Marketing copy strategists, brand strategists, researchers, and designers. Day to day, you'll develop copy based on messaging frameworks and guidelines and write in a way that drives clarity and maintains consistency in our brand tone of voice.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience as a Growth Marketing Copywriter or similar role in an agency or in-house setting, writing copy across a wide range of channels...and a portfolio that reflects!
- High proficiency in English, with exceptional grammar and copywriting skills
- Strong bias for action in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- Ability to make informed and strategic copy recommendations that you can back up with expertise, best practices, testing/research learnings, guidelines, and relevant frameworks
- Strong sense of when to disagree and commit (even if you’ve made an incredibly informed recommendation!)
- Ability to be flexible, nimble, and action-oriented so you can navigate changes or feedback and meet deadlines effectively
- Have experience testing copy across a wide range of Marketing channels. Must understand key channel differences, so that copy can be tailored appropriately.
- Ability to quickly adopt guidelines, tone of voice frameworks, and other brand parameters and uphold the quality of copy accordingly.
- Have an understanding of writing copy for a global audience and the limitations that come with it
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience creating copy guidelines and other mechanisms for scale
- Experience working with legal and localization teams (whose guidance impacts en-US copy)
- Experience writing UX copy or working with UX copywriters
- Experience working in Figma
- Experience working with remote teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
