The Head of Learning Experience Design, Global Product Education will lead all learning experience and content strategy end to end. This dynamic role sits at the intersection of advertising, technology, and education, driving the development of training content that empowers advertisers and sales teams worldwide.

This leader will oversee a team responsible for creating engaging, effective learning experiences across all our advertising products. This role manages four functions: Learning Experience Design, Multimedia Experience Design, Motion Graphics Design, and Curriculum Management. This team is responsible for learners across managed and self-service advertisers, as well as client-facing roles worldwide. The educational content spans all performance, multi-channel, and ad tech products, live events program, and sales education content, across the full spectrum of Amazon Ads offerings. This encompasses all advertiser education certification content and assessments. This leader will be responsible for ensuring the business’ learning needs are met, all content meets established standards, and for driving innovation.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader capable of partnering with global business leaders to identify content needs and oversee large-scale learning programs. They will devise and drive global content strategy across product, marketing, and sales organizations, navigating complex decisions and aligning stakeholders on training priorities. This role involves guiding curriculum development, analyzing educational trends, and translating stakeholder needs into impactful learning experiences. The successful candidate will set and monitor KPIs for content quality and effectiveness, while continuously improving learning solutions. They will also be responsible for evaluating team effectiveness, defining organizational structure, and implementing emerging technologies like AI. This senior leader will have a global scope, educating advertisers of all sizes and advising senior internal leaders. The role requires the ability to drive innovation, handle complex scenarios, and make high-level decisions that align with business priorities and industry evolution.




Key job responsibilities
- Devise, communicate, and drive the global content strategy across product, marketing, and sales organizations, navigating highly complex situations and making decisions requiring a high degree of judgment.
- Influence leadership, stakeholders, and partner teams to align on training priorities and define VP/SVP content goals.
- Navigate highly complex scenarios, drive decisions, and handle escalations with a high degree of judgment.
- Guide curriculum development, analyze educational trends, assess program effectiveness, and make decisions to enhance overall educational quality and learner outcomes.
- Translate stakeholder, business, and learner needs into impactful learning experiences by developing and maintaining needs analysis methods, setting KPIs to ensure content quality, retention, and effectiveness, and driving continuous improvements to learning solutions.
- Continually evaluate team effectiveness and ability to scale, defining team infrastructure (workflows, productivity tracking, project management, auditing mechanisms) and organizational structure.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelors or equivalent
- 10+ years of learning design experience developing training in a variety of education modalities (e.g., e-learning, live instructor-led, video-based, webinar)
- 7+ years of education leadership with increasing influence and responsibility

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- In-depth understanding of adult learning theory and learning design principles
- Strategic thinker who can take broad visions and concepts, develop structured plans with measurable metrics, and execute those plans
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, changing, and highly ambiguous global environment
- Proven ability to lead and manage at senior levels without direct authority
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), as well as accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven program and project management skills
- Exceptional cross-organization collaboration-building skills, including the ability to partner with teams with different priorities
- Able to think both strategically at a global level and effectively develop key processes, deliver and distribute information across multiple channels and mediums

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $162,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $268,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
