Key job responsibilities
1. Shape Front-End Development: Guide design, implementation, and optimization of responsive, accessible user interfaces, using modern front-end frameworks and libraries.

2. Establish Front-End Architecture: Drive development of reusable and modular UI components, adhering to best practices and design systems.

3. Maintain Performance and Quality Standards: Ensure optimal performance by implementing efficient rendering techniques, code splitting, and other performance optimization strategies. Contribute to establishing and maintaining high-quality standards for the front end code base through testing, code reviews, and best practices.

4. Collaboration and Mentorship: Collaborate closely with designers, back-end engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into seamless user experiences. Share knowledge across the organization through tech talks and by mentoring other front-end developers.

About the team
CloudTune provides cloud elasticity at Amazon's Stores, Digital, and Others (SDO) scale and rate of innovation. We build foundational and increasingly automated forecasting and scaling technology that enable capacity assurance and infrastructure cost controllership. Our aim is to help the whole of SDO have access to the AWS resources they require, at the right time, and at the best price. Through our tooling, we help customers understand their costs of doing business, where and how we need them to take action to react to our scaling forecasts, and offer insights into how they might take advantage of infrastructure efficiency opportunities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
- 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
