As a Technical Program Manager, you will work alongside software management to become the central point of control and deployment for software. You will be responsible for coordination and execution between multiple teams to manage internal and customer facing software releases.

Additionally, you will create/establish mechanisms and processes that ensure code interoperability, integrity of the software build and overall quality of code versioning as well as integration across development, test and production environments. You will be required to track, communicate status and independently drive issues to resolution.

Key job responsibilities
• You will work closely with system architects, engineers, and scientists to drive technical de-risking efforts in hardware, software, and algorithms to prepare the technological readiness.
• You will manage how-to balance delivery with technical excellence, provide accurate estimates, anticipate roadblocks, and find ways to overcome those to help the team push forward.
• You will design and implement scalable mechanisms to streamline close collaborations within our multi-disciplinary teams to enhance overall team productivity.
• You will work with the initiative lead on regular communications with VP-level management on key business trends, major risks in technology, product, and business, and paths to green.


About the team
-Most roles for this position will be located at Amazon’s company headquarters in Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA. Successful applicants will be expected to relocate to their team location upon starting at Amazon.
-Role and team placement are based on business needs and as Amazon continues to grow and flex, we are looking for candidates who want to own, build and impact the customer experience rather than are tied to a specific role or team.
-Internship start dates will be between May-June 2025 for a 12-week, consecutive internship.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Currently pursuing an MBA/Master’s degree with a graduation conferral date between December 31, 2025 and September 30, 2026
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of full-time professional and/or military experience which occurred which occurred between graduation from your undergraduate program and prior to starting your MBA program

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Technical program management experience working directly with engineering teams; Architect or technical management background
- Experience managing projects with cross-functional teams, designing and implementing sustainable processes · Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously · A deep understanding and proven track record of software and hardware design
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
- Experience with agile or other program management methodologies
- Ability to deliver initiatives from conception through completion
- Curiosity to dig several layers deep into technical solutions with an eye toward continuous improvement
- Has passion for driving radical innovations and are passionate about building things from the ground up

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $65.38/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $112.55/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
