Lab126 began in 2004 as a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., originally creating the best-selling Kindle family of products. Since then, Lab126 has produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Echo, and Dash Button. The Device OS team is a big part of creating these innovative devices at Lab126 providing the core OS, platform, features and components.
In the Device OS group, we are inventing the future for consumer electronics and are looking for engineer to help us bring the vision into reality and solve real world challenges that will transform our customers’ experiences in ways we can’t even imagine yet. The team develops scalable cloud solutions that enable our partners to quickly build and launch devices quickly and in a cost-effective way. Key job responsibilities
As an SDET, your responsibilities will include:
-Creating and designing automation frameworks that work across multiple devices and platforms
-Creating tests for new features and services
-Building automated tests using existing tools and frameworks to expose defects in product code
-Working directly with Software Developers, Product Managers, and Technical Program Managers to ensure proper development and quality of our applications and platforms
-Ability to understand products requirements and develop the right strategy for automation focus for the best coverage and reliability for the time invested
Innovating new tools that the team could utilize
-Ensure code reviews tend to be rapid and uneventful. Provide useful code reviews for changes submitted by others.
-Dive deep into our testing methodologies to transform manual quality processes to highly automated quality solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience in delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading the QA projects and initiatives experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment
- Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services
