DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a Process Assistant to join our dynamic Fulfillment Centre. Our Fulfillment Centres are at the heart of Amazon’s rapidly growing Operations network: they’re where we manage our fast-moving inventory.
They’re also where we developed our industry-leading workflows. Our teams stow deliveries, pick products, package them up and ship them out: each of these groups have played their part in taking us where we are today. The Process Assistant will report to the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities specific to the different Fulfillment Centre areas.


Key job responsibilities
• Strong organization skills, and understands and delivers clear communication
• Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, attending flow meetings, assigning job duties, and communicating with all departments
• Providing cover for Area Managers if on leave, support and work in Process Path as required
• Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking, and reporting of labor hours
• Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates
• Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting, and feedback performance
• Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity
• Filling in as needed with production duties
• Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals
• Assisting in keeping work area clean and organized
• Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area
• Participating in safety initiatives, and coaching associates to work safely at all times
• Referring all job injuries immediately to area manager

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- High school or equivalent
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
