FinOps Specialist - AR, Global Vendor Holdbacks

Amazon is looking for driven FinOps Specialist to become major contributors to the fast paced world of Global Finance Operations. You will own and coordinate problem solving activities with our Finance Contact Management Team to ensure best vendor experience and smooth flow of all business process.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
· Identifying root causes for problems within the supply chain or in internal Amazon systems and leading the initiative of fixing these problems- conduct follow-up tasks, communicate opportunities for improvement and agree action plans
· Analyze underlying issues and rootcause to improve processes and customer experience.
· Acting as a main point of contact for a specific line of business and liase with SPS, BPs, Retail, Internal teams & Vendors with the goal to develop good business relationships, create mutual trust, and resolve open issues raised by the Vendors in order to avoid shipment holds, Legal issues or other business interruption.
· Drive defect resolution for identified issues.
. Analyse dependencies trends and make course corrections within business processes by establishing reliable mechanisms
· Coordinate with internal stakeholders for amicable Vendor solutions.
· Work with global stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and help drive the same. This would include driving a culture of continuous improvement through quality initiatives like Lean & Six Sigma.
Other requirements:
· Analyzing metrics relating to operational performance and effectively presenting data to Leadership, Business Partners, Management and internal teams.
· Working actively and accurately on an independent basis; giving great attention to detail and displaying the initiative to quickly identify process gaps, failures and discrepancies
· Interacting with SPS, Retail & Finance teams while working on internal tickets, escalations, business decisions, objectives and communication.
The successful candidate will have a good desire in innovating processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, primarily driving innovation on behalf of customers / vendors.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of finance experience
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
