Amazon Traffic Engineering builds innovative managed networking solutions that empower Amazon Software Engineers to build and operate services for Amazon’s customers that are secure, highly available, and easy to scale. We identify and support the foundational infrastructure capabilities, tools, and datasets needed to support rapid global expansion of Amazon's SOA (Service Oriented Infrastructure), built on top of AWS technologies.

We seek a passionate, technical and results-oriented Sr. Technical Program Manager to help manage aspects of a high visibility, high impact modernization program.

Key job responsibilities
• Coordinate work across multiple teams and organizations within Amazon
• Own the strategic roadmap and tactical milestones and own the updates to various stakeholders
• Manage relationship with customers, stakeholders and partners - helping address major roadblocks in adoption of the new technology
• Manage timeline, dependencies, and deliverables

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
