We're seeking an experienced and collaborative content acquisition manager to support our content licensing efforts across the EU. In this role you will work with our spoken word team to identify new opportunities, on-board new podcast partners, negotiate content deals, secure additional rights from existing partners, and create and execute acquisition strategies to secure the rights needed to support the growth of our spoken word business. You will work closely with cross-functional partners at Amazon Music (e.g., Product, Legal, Content, Marketing, Finance) and across other Amazon orgs as relevant. You will develop and maintain relationships with priority external partners (e.g., broadcasters, publishers, hosting companies, data providers), managing negotiations and execution of contractual commitments.

Key job responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, on-board and manage relationships with content, data and other industry partners
- Support the development and execution of spoken word strategies
- Execute mid to large-sized opportunities independently in support of larger team initiatives
- Work closely with internal teams including Product, Legal, Finance and Marketing to achieve positive negotiation outcomes for Amazon Music
- Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
- Monitor the competitive landscape to help inform Amazon Music's strategic priorities and expansion opportunities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google docs and sheets
- Experience in account management, business development, content licensing, or finance
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience in an account management, licensing or business development role
- Experience with Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in organizing events for content creators (e.g., education summits, booths at events)
- Experience in content acquisition or sync licensing
- Bilingual, English and German
