Key job responsibilities
1) Conduct field trials to develop and improve crop management techniques
2) Analyze soil health, weather patterns, and crop performance to optimize productivity
3) Collaborate with farmers, agronomists, and researchers to implement best practices
4) Provide technical support and training to farming teams for improved crop management
5) Monitor pest, disease, and weed pressures to recommend effective control methods
6) Contribute to research on sustainable agricultural practices and new technologies

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Plant Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Strong knowledge of soil health, crop physiology, pest and disease management, and sustainable farming practices.
- Experience with agricultural field trials, data analysis, and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with farmers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to travel to field sites as needed.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree
- Proven experience (2+ years) in agronomy, crop management, or agricultural research.
- Strong knowledge of organic farming methods, sustainable farming practices, and soil health management.
- Experience with integrated pest management (IPM) and sustainable weed, disease, and pest control strategies.
- Proficiency in agricultural software tools, GIS, and data management systems.
