The AWS Finance team provides end-to-end financial support for this multi-billion dollar business, driving AWS to be the low cost provider in cloud computing and the leader in customer experience. We are looking for a Finance Leader to join the AWS Infrastructure Finance team providing end-to-end financial support driving AWS to be the low cost provider in cloud computing and leader in customer experience.
As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for defining and driving financial performance by partnering with the AWS Supply Chain team. You will have both regional and program-level responsibility for consolidating financial information, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
The successful candidate will need to be strategic, analytical, and have the demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. This is a role with high exposure to senior management across AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain and Procurement and AWS Infrastructure Central FP&A.
Key job responsibilities
Lead finance controllership for one or more supply chain leaders, working directly with the AWS Supply Chain organization.
Prepare and present financial summaries and business insights to Business and Finance Management.
Develop and implement cost controllership models.
Own regional financial controllership for one or more supply chain operation locations.
Build out and enhance financial models, develop business insights and KPI dashboards, and lead ad hoc analyses.
Develop and implement long range business planning.
Work with big data and transforming it into insights and information.
Lead automation efforts of critical processes.
Confirming compliance with current contracts and controls, while developing new processes and controls to support the growing, global AWS business.
Identifying and driving process improvements, including creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and templates.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience in the logistics and warehousing space.
