We're seeking a passionate Senior Financial Analyst with a talent for diving deep and improving processes. You'll play a crucial role in producing and maintaining the accuracy of the ProServe P&L, collaborating across business, finance, and partner teams to streamline processes and create automated financial solutions that scale. Your expertise will support AWS's continued growth, impacting diverse clients from innovative startups to major corporations and government agencies globally.

Key job responsibilities
-Own, produce, and maintain the accuracy of the ProServe P&L, conducting deep dives to ensure comprehensive understanding and analysis
-Collaborate with business and finance teams to analyze variances against goals, quickly identifying and communicating key insights
-Develop and deliver supporting materials for month-end close processes and business reviews with senior AWS leadership
-Drive financial transparency and decision-making by presenting complex data in a clear, actionable format
-Continuously improve financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in P&L management
-Champion process improvement, standardization, and scalable solutions as a thought leader, enhancing finance processes for heightened speed, agility, and insightful analysis

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
