About the Role
Join a dynamic legal team working on a variety of novel legal issues across the entire company. Support a number of teams across our business on product launches, marketing initiatives, customer support documentation and escalations, responses to governmental authorities, enforcement, and intellectual property matters. Leverage strong communication, project management, and organization skills to build relationships with business partners, drive projects to completion, and have fun tackling complex issues arising from a global service for user generated content.
Have the ability to come into our San Francisco, CA office.
You Will
- Investigate potential infringement of intellectual property or contractual rights, and partner with counsel and internal stakeholders to pursue enforcement, as appropriate.
- Review and collaborate with internal stakeholders on marketing and promotional materials to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable legal requirements on content clearance, messaging, and disclosures.
- Provide exceptional, responsive, and customer-focused user support in response to legal questions or escalations from our customer support and marketing teams.
- Conduct detailed and timely factual investigations, collect relevant records, and create accurate and complete reports.
- Manage legal projects and outside counsel for quality assurance, timeliness, compliance with expectations, and progress against goals.
- Design, develop, refine, and simplify legal processes to increase efficiency, support scalability, and ensure quality (such as establishing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures and reporting against desired timeframes for responding).
- Collaborate with legal team members to improve processes, increase efficiency, provide training, and ensure business needs are met.
- Partner with and provide backup for other team paralegals as needed to achieve team priorities, including providing assistance on litigation and regulatory matters.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 4+ years of paralegal work or equivalent experience, with at least some experience in a technology company setting
- Experience supporting one or more areas identified above (customer inquiries, regulatory responses, investigation and enforcement, marketing clearance, project management, etc.) within a law firm or in-house legal department
- A curious, critical mind, with excellent judgment and creative problem-solving ability
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, including the ability to multitask and manage competing and time-sensitive demands
- Passion for inventing or improving good processes to scale legal operations
- High level of comfort with technology and Internet services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, collegial attitude, and desire to work on a highly collaborative team
- Enthusiasm, flexibility, and a great sense of humor
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and understanding of Twitch
- Experience with media & entertainment, video games, esports, or services hosting user generated content
- Previous Program or Project Management experience
- Experience working on creation or customization of tools used by legal teams
- Paralegal certificate
- Relevant technical degree
- Notary Public

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $62,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $133,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
