Finance Manager, Finance Operations Business Partnering

On the Business Partnership (BP) Team within Finance Operations (FinOps), you will find yourself working with multi talented and dedicated people committed to driving financial improvement, scalability, and process excellence.
As Amazon continues to grow, we are recruiting a Finance Manager, Business Partnering in Non-Inventory Accounts Payable to drive expansion in complex and innovative situations. You will lead critical initiatives across businesses, tech teams, and other stakeholders to drive change and implement scalable solutions to increase Vendor Experience, Amazon productivity and Free Cash Flow (FCF).
You will work with leaders across the world from a diverse range of organizations, including Transportation, Operations, Tax, Marketing and Legal, using your analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex and high visibility priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
This role operates with a significant level of autonomy, owning multiple VP-level goals, and is an ideal opportunity for a driven finance professional looking to broaden Core Finance experience in a project driven, operational area of finance.

Key job responsibilities
- Define key performance indicators – develop metrics and service level agreements for core programs and processes, tracking delivery against program objectives
- Consolidate inputs, and challenge assumptions, on performance drivers and projections from stakeholders
- Obtain and summarize critical data sets to trace defect areas to primary root cause drivers, scope future state solutions, influence road map decisions and measure the effectiveness of solutions that are implemented over time
- Own relationships with upstream business and technology teams to develop and deliver continuous system and process change, ensuring process excellence and highest levels of controllership
- Own mechanisms to seamlessly support new program and tool launches worldwide.
- Communicate program and policy updates to senior leaders and employees across multiple business and finance teams
- Negotiate efficient and reliable processes and policies across partner teams to systematically eliminate dependencies and defects.
- Work cross-functionally to identify key opportunities in process, technical, and human interfaces and develop and implement plans to capitalize on those opportunities and measure and monitor success and impacts
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
