The Amazon Compensation team is adding a Software Development Engineer to to drive best in class engineering and testing of compensation products built on AWS.
A day in the life
Daily this role will be working with the rest of the team to drive excellence via strong code delivery, pull request review, testing strategy, collaboration with the product team and system design

Job responsibilities - Delivery of software features
- Defining testing strategy
- Establishing metrics and monitor performance
- Participate in team design decisions
- Mentor SDE1s and interns
- Collaborating with product team on implementation
- Work with the broader team to improve alignment and contributed to shared repositories
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
