Our Team is looking for an experienced professional to define and push forward our music programming strategy for Colombia, Argentina and Chile (CLARCO). The Music Curator for Amazon Music will support driving customer engagement through the creation and maintenance of playlists, stations and related curatorial tasks crucial to the quality of the Amazon Music customer experience. This Music Curator will set a path towards iteration and improvement by learning about our customers and their behavior through the collection and analysis of data, working closely with the Content, Marketing, and Industry Relations teams on customer and partner-facing initiatives. The Music Curator will also work with Product and Engineering teams to assure that customer experiences are best-in-class.

Key job responsibilities
• Deliver high quality music programming, including playlists and stations.
• Create and manage a rolling editorial calendar.
• Execute a continuous content improvement process. • Drive improvements of tools and techniques required to support a growing curated music offering. • Work with the Label Relations teams to identify content to include in the service. • Use data to continuously refine our content offering to ensure a fresh and compelling user experience for each customer.
• Collaborate with other curation teams around the world to share your expertise and learn from them.
• Capitalize on the growing popularity of Latin music genres for global and local markets by partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
• Enhance the team's operational efficiency by automating repetitive tasks, freeing up time for strategic and high-impact work.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Fluent in both English and Spanish
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations.
• 1+ years in work experience in music label, aggregator or a DSP. Music events production / promotion, programming, radio, music curation or content production.
• Proven expertise on the South American music scene, with an emphasis on Colombian, Argentinian and Chilean music. Both trending music niches and catalogue.
• Proven success in delivering results in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment. • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with external partners / agencies.
• Strong project management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meetings.
• Ability to think creatively, deal with ambiguity, and manage changing priorities.
• Ability to set aside one's own tastes and biases to curate music for a broad audience.
• Relentlessly high standards.
• Flexible and nimble, able to swiftly react to a shifting landscape.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


• Experience working across cultures and languages.
• Deep knowledge across multiple genres of Latin American music, with an emphasis on Colombian, Argentinian and Chilean music and culture.
• Knowledge of current trends and history in music and the music industry.
• Exceptional interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience, and judgment. • Thinks big
