Join the Books Customer Value team and lead product development for a suite of features that leverage gamification tactics to help customers build healthy reading habits. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager - Technical who can strategically unlock the next stages of growth for Kindle and continue to delight customers around the world. You will develop the strategy and vision for this charter and collaborate with an engineering team to oversee the development of related products and features.

A day in the life
• Product Vision and Ownership: End-to-end accountability; leads strategy, value proposition, game-changing ideas, evolution. Focuses on customer delight. Ensures we're focused on the right metrics for the business.
• Customer: What problem are we solving? How can we add more value for customers? Where can we invent?
• Product Development/Roadmap: Defines functional, user experience, legal and other business requirements. Manages feature prioritization; helps engineering, operations, and creative make the right CX trade-offs.

About the team
The mission of the Customer Value org is to maximize customers’ return on money, time, and energy spent acquiring Books and empower them to read more. We do so by obsessing over value to ensure that customers will never find a better price than what they see on Amazon, making acquiring a book seamless and secure, and providing tools to build a reading habit.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
