Software Engineer II, Cross Border Science
DESCRIPTION
Cross Border (XB) plays a pivotal role in Amazon's global expansion, enabling customer acquisition and Prime engagement by offering worldwide selection in both Footprint (FP) and Non-Footprint (NFP) countries. In Emerging FP countries, XB complements the local flywheel and supports programs like Vostok/NAFN, improving in-stock levels, speed, conversion, and ASIN productivity. For Established FP countries, XB adds unique selections and minimizes customer experience disruptions. In Strategic NFP countries without Amazon Stores, XB delivers global selection through programs like Exports free-shipping and Amazon International Shopping (AIS), driving customer acquisition and engagement. To continue supporting this growth, our XB investments in machine learning will enable us to optimize key inputs like product selection, delivery experience, engagement and pricing strategies by taking a more scientific data-driven approach. By analyzing cross-border data, we can more accurately identify customer preferences, predict demand, and tailor our offerings accordingly, enhancing sales and customer satisfaction.
