Amazon Fire TV Experience team is looking for an experienced, results-oriented, and tech passionate Software Development Engineer in Test to join its team. We own the experience on all of our streaming media players, and are constantly experimenting and innovating to improve the customer experience. As an SDET on the Fire TV QA team, you will champion the development of our automation solutions and help teams achieve efficiency in testing.
Your work is not only about automating tests, but also building products and solutions that automate the testing process and other major procedures that make the team more agile and efficient. You will own designing the solution and even shaping its specification. You will own testing and operational deployment of your projects. You will have a significant impact in the quality and delivery speed of our software, our business, and most importantly our customers. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA as your work is effecting all job families to deliver efficiently. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to propose improvements to our existing processes and automated tools in order to improve the team’s speed, quality and efficiency. The candidate will have good hands-on experience in test automation and testing, with good knowledge of the core software testing techniques and have good communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem solving skills.

Our SDETs do not only automate tests, but they build next level automation technology, tools, and automation solutions.

Key job responsibilities
* Design and implement automation solutions to automate the testing process and workflows.
* Maintain and develop test automation framework.
* Handle DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development testing
- Experience building test automation frameworks and tools
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience debugging, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex, production software issues
- Experience designing or supporting low-maintenance automation frameworks
- Experience in automating release process.
- Basic NAWS experience
- Basic linux scripting
- Understanding of good software design principles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment
