About the Hiring Unit: FinOps Shared Services
Amazon.com has extensive vendor payment operations activities for our vendors across the Globe. The WW Finance operation at Hyderabad commenced in 2005 and has grown steadily in its size and scope into a dynamic and large team. The 3000+ member team at Hyderabad, Pune, Manila, Costa Rica, Bratislava and China handle WW Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll transactions and play a key role in smooth functioning of overall Amazon businesses. This position will mainly support both AP and AR related processes for all major businesses of Amazon, which comprises of 250+ unique services. The amount of money that is managed by the function is over $400 Billion per annum.

Position Description: Finance ACES Specialist

LOCATION Hyderabad, India

Summary of Responsibilities

· Mentor ‘Just Do Its’ and Kaizens and manage continuous improvement space for multiple functions
· Manage and improve idea management mechanism
· Conduct YB and Kaizen Trainings
· Manage OE Project reporting for multiple global Service Center
· Provide periodic project updates, including major successes/challenges, to senior management
· Conduct Processing mapping to identify gaps


Key job responsibilities
Knowledge/Experience of Accounts Receivables processes
Process Mapping experience


A day in the life
1. Discuss improvement ideas with FinOps employees
2. Sign off ideas to become projects
3. Mentor Employees on writing problem / Goal statements, benefit quantification, solution evaluation etc
4. Conducting root cause analysis / data analysis / Process Mapping
5. Conducting trainings

About the team
FGBS ACES team is dedicated to cultivating a culture of continuous improvement providing extensive training and mentoring to employees, and driving business transformation by implementing Lean and Six Sigma projects. We collaborate with the Finance and Business teams and strive to optimize customer experience, enhance operational speed, minimize financial losses, and mitigate defects. Our key services are –

1. Train employees on Lean, six sigma and data analysis skills
2. Lead improvement projects along with team members from Finance / business teams
3. Mentor finance/business employees when they lead improvement projects after training
4. Explore new financial savings opportunities
5. Identify risks in existing/new processes/solutions.
6. Converting data into meaningful information

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of program or project management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
- Experience in MS Access and SQL
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
